Fabrizio Romano reveals where Tottenham stand on Savinho after Eberechi Eze snub

1 day ago 3

After Arsenal sensationally hijacked Tottenham’s move for Eberechi Eze on Wednesday, Fabrizio Romano has now provided the latest on the Lilywhites’ pursuit of Savinho.

Just a few days ago, many Spurs fans were dreaming of a Savinho-Eze linkup at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this season.

However, earlier this week, it emerged that Manchester City had decided to keep hold of Savinho despite Tottenham’s willingness to spend a club-record fee for the Brazilian.

Then on Wednesday evening, a huge bady blow arrived for Spurs, with Arsenal hijacking Tottenham’s move for Eze, who has now reportedly agreed to move to the Emirates Stadium.

Fabrizio Romano says Tottenham have not given up on Savinho

The transfer window appears to be unravelling fast for Spurs, who now have just 10 days left to make some big moves, with Thomas Frank’s squad still in need of major reinforcements.

Fabrizio Romano has now given Tottenham fans hope regarding the club’s pursuit of Savinho, revealing that the Lilywhites have not given up on the 21-year-old just yet.

However, he adds that the Etihad Stadium hierarchy remain insistent on blocking the Brazil international’s move to N17.

🚨⚪️ Tottenham have not stopped thinking about Savinho among top targets.

City insist on blocking the deal in the last 10 days.

Spurs also made calls for Tyler Dibling with Everton leading… and Morgan Rogers but seen as almost impossible, unlikely.

Romano added in his latest YouTube video: “For Savinho, don’t forget that Tottenham are still trying. It’s complicated; there are important people on Manchester City’s board who are blocking the deal and pushing to keep Savinho.

“Now, they have the intention to try again, so Tottenham are not giving up on Savinho. Remember, if Savinho goes to Tottenham, Man City will try really hard for Rodrygo Goes. That dominio is still on.”

Sources say Man City will sell Savinho if the fee is right

Despite City’s rumoured hardline stance on the winger, it has been reported by some sources that a move to Tottenham Hotspur may still be on the cards for the former Girona man this summer.

This update came from Manchester Evening News, who claimed that Spurs can sign Savinho, but they would have to make a huge offer to convince Pep Guardiola’s side to part ways with the winger.

The publication also suggested that the deal may progress after Tottenham play Man City this Saturday. So, there might still be some hope for the London club in their pursuit of Savinho.
