Liverpool legend Fernando Torres has already embarked on his managerial journey and has been tipped to one day take the reins at Anfield.
The Spaniard has had the privilege of learning from the very best, having observed Jurgen Klopp's methods during the final stages of the German's tenure on Merseyside.
Torres, 42, hung up his boots in 2019. He netted 81 goals for Liverpool before his high-profile switch to Chelsea in 2011, and also plied his trade in Spain, Italy and Japan, bringing the curtain down on his playing days at Sagan Tosu. He stepped into coaching in 2021, taking up a role within the academy set-up at former club Atletico Madrid.

"Fernando Torres as Liverpool manager one day? Definitely. He's taken a different path to Cesc Fabregas, he has been patient and has preferred to start little by little with the youth team, gaining experience," former Spain international striker Fernando Llorente told Hajper.
Lllorente added: "I think Fernando will become a great coach because he had an incredible career, knows a lot about football and has surely been preparing for the right moment to make the jump."

Torres' eagerness to develop was evident in 2024, when he shadowed Klopp and assistant manager Pep Lijnders ahead of a Premier League match against Brighton.
"I've had the opportunity to see how everything works from the inside, which is great," he told club media at the time.
"I'm a big fan of Jurgen and his staff and all around the AXA training facility, which is very different than when I was here, so obviously the club grows a lot, and I have the chance to see why.
"There are many reasons, but it's amazing to be here and to be able to meet with Jurgen and Pep and all the staff to learn and try to understand the Liverpool way."
Armando de la Morena, who guided Torres through his formative years at Atleti, was equally enthusiastic about the Spaniard's prospects in management.
"A coach like Fernando, knowing his career a bit, as a player and always with the respect that he has acted, has the conditions to be a great coach," he told Marca.
"I know it from the players too, who tell me wonders about him, how he transmits, how he gives them the concepts. So what I see in him is that if everything is going the right way, then we have a future coach for Spanish football and for Atletico and hopefully for the national team as well. Whatever he wants."
Now in his second campaign at the helm of Atletico Madrileno, Torres has his players performing impressively as they pursue promotion to the Segunda Division. With five fixtures left in the season, they occupy third position and are set for a playoff place if they cannot close the four-point gap to league leader Eldense.
