Chelsea were unable to take a 2-2 draw into the second leg against Paris Saint-Germain, with goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen in the spotlight for the wrong reasons

Chelsea goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen endured a difficult night against reigning Champions League holders Paris Saint‑Germain and appeared to ignore captain Reece James as he headed straight for the dressing room at full-time. The Swede stopper was beaten five times as Chelsea slipped to a 5-2 defeat in Paris.

Liam Rosenior's side had been holding their own and were level at 2-2 until the 74th minute, when Jorgensen gifted PSG a crucial goal. His attempted pass out from the back was cut off by Bradley Barcola, who squared for Vitinha to put the hosts ahead.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia then struck twice in eight minutes, giving the French champions a strong advantage heading into next week's second leg at Stamford Bridge. At full-time, Jorgensen was visibly furious and stormed off the pitch while his teammates went to applaud the travelling supporters.

A video circulating on social media shows James trying to persuade the 23‑year‑old to join the rest of the squad in acknowledging the fans, but the goalkeeper continued towards the tunnel. He was eventually stopped by fellow keeper Robert Sanchez, who appeared to convince him to return to the pitch and clap the supporters.

Several supporters commented on Jorgensen's action, with one writing on X: "This is bad from Jorgensen. Aside all you should have shown respect to the fans. This is the reason why I always talk about experienced players in the dressing room. Can you do this in John Terry's era? Not at all even when they have the likes of great players like Drogba."

Another added: "Rip up his contract," before a third emphasised: "At the end of the day, nobody is feeling worse about this game than him right now… Blown his chance in probably the biggest game of his career."

A fourth continued: "That's probably even worse than the mistakes. Another one that needs to leave this summer."

In a post-match interview with TNT Sports, James expressed his full backing to the Swede.

"This is football, this is the way we want to play," he began. "If you play out from the back, mistakes are going to happen.

"Everyone in the team understands that. That is how the manager wants us to play. We are fully behind Filip."
