Tottenham Hotspur need to appoint yet another new manager after Igor Tudor's exit after just 44 days in charge, with the Croatian's tenure proving even more disastrous than Thomas Frank's spell

Tottenham Hotspur must now seek out another new manager following Igor Tudor's exit. The Croatian was only brought in earlier this year after Thomas Frank's dismal stint in charge.
However, Tudor performed even more poorly, with the north Londoners now entrenched in a relegation battle with merely seven fixtures remaining this season. Spurs decision-makers have been afforded some breathing space, with the international break having temporarily halted Premier League proceedings.
Several candidates are already under consideration, with both permanent and caretaker appointments amongst the potential scenarios. But who might ultimately take control? football.london examines several possible contenders.
Roberto De Zerbi
The individual Spurs appear keen to secure as their long-term manager is former Brighton and Marseille boss Roberto De Zerbi. The Italian distinguished himself during his spell in the Premier League and maintained his impressive standards in France.
De Zerbi departed Marseille only in February, meaning he would be available to resume managerial duties. However, he has stated clearly that he wishes to assume control only in the summer, while several fan groups have expressed lukewarm reactions to the possibility of his arrival.
Consequently, his appointment may prove more complex than initially anticipated.
Adi Hutter

Another European manager who has attracted interest is Austrian tactician Adi Hutter. The 56-year-old has impressed in recent campaigns with Eintracht Frankfurt, Borussia Monchengladbach and Monaco.
He has been available since October, having departed the latter following just over two years at the helm. Reports have indicated that discussions have already occurred between Spurs and Hutter over recent days.
Whether negotiations intensify now Tudor has departed remains unclear, but Hutter is undoubtedly a candidate.
Sean Dyche
Another figure who has been mooted is former Burnley, Everton and Nottingham Forest manager Sean Dyche. Reports claimed that Spurs were prepared to approach Dyche on an interim basis.
He was recently questioned about the position and seemed to dismiss any likelihood of him being appointed. That position could potentially shift now that Tudor has formally departed.
Ryan Mason
If Spurs wish to appoint someone who's fulfilled the role previously, then they need look no further than Ryan Mason. He was installed following Jose Mourinho's dismissal in 2019 and guided Spurs to four victories from seven fixtures.
Mason was then given the responsibility two years subsequently. The former midfielder remains unemployed following a less than impressive spell with Championship outfit West Bromwich Albion.

Robbie Keane
Another figure requiring minimal introduction to Spurs supporters, their former striker was similarly touted for a comeback immediately following Frank's dismissal. Keane is presently excelling with Hungarian powerhouses Ferencvaros, where he has secured the league championship.
Keane has previously enjoyed a stint with Maccabi Tel Aviv, alongside coaching positions at Leeds, Middlesbrough and with the Republic of Ireland.
