Tottenham Hotspur have a huge gap before their next Premier League fixture and this is not merely due to the international break.
Many fans groan when the international break begins, but Tottenham Hotspur supporters will wish it could last forever.
Luckily for them, Spurs are not in action until a week after it finishes anyway, giving the club plenty of time to sort out their shambolic managerial situation.
Here are the five reasons Tottenham are not set to play again for another 18 days (21 days after their last fixture).

The international break is underway
Tottenham’s young stars have already begun fulfilling their international duties and the senior players will start doing the same on Thursday.
Most of the club’s players are involved in low-stake friendly matches. However, Lucas Bergvall and Radu Dragusin are competing in the World Cup qualifying play-offs for Sweden and Romania respectively.
Spurs are out of the FA Cup
This season has been a disaster for Tottenham and that includes their performances in the domestic cup competitions.
Spurs were dumped out of the FA Cup by Aston Villa in the third round, meaning they have no fixture to fulfil on Easter weekend.
Tottenham fell short in the Champions League
Even though Spurs did brilliantly in the opening stage of the Champions League, they were absolutely thrashed by Atletico Madrid in the last 16 first leg.
The valiant response at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium was not enough to put Tottenham through to the next round, extending their period of time without a match.
Spurs are not playing until the Sunday
There is only one reason for Tottenham’s trip to Sunderland not to take place on a Saturday and that is due to TV broadcasting.
Sky Sports will be showing all the action from the Stadium of Light, meaning it will kick off at 2pm a day later.
Tottenham have not arranged a mid-season friendly
It has not been uncommon in recent times for Spurs to arrange a behind-closed-doors game while the international break is in progress.
However, no such fixture has been scheduled, which is another reason the Lilywhites will be out of action for so long.
