Manchester City have made the trip to the Arctic Circle as they take on Bodo/Glimt in their penultimate Champions League fixture of the league phase
Manchester City are back in action this evening when they visit Norwegian club Bodo/Glimt in the Arctic Circle for the penultimate Champions League match in the league phase of the competition. After the disappointment of the derby day loss, City are hopeful of bouncing back and putting one foot in the knockout stages.
Last time in Europe, the Blues picked up an impressive 2-1 win at Real Madrid and while the surroundings in Norway will be different to the Bernabeu, a repeat result will be just the tonic for City. Pep Guardiola will be without Antoine Semenyo for the trip as he is ineligible, as his new signing Marc Guehi.
Bernardo Silva is also missing through suspension but City did receive a boost through Omar Marmoush who is in the travelling squad after returning from the Africa Cup of Nations. MEN Sport has taken a closer look at the injury latest for in the City squad below.

Phil Foden
Injury: Hand
After the derby Guardiola said Foden was fine when asked if he had suffered a broken hand but he rowed back on that on Monday. Guardiola confirmed Foden had broken a bone in his hand but he trained on Monday night in Norway and is available to feature.
Potential return date: January 20 vs Bodo/Glimt
Nico Gonzalez
Injury: Unknown
Before the derby, Guardiola confirmed the midfielder was undertaking a late fitness check to see if he would make the squad. Gonzalez did not make it through and he has not been included in the travelling squad either.
Potential return date: January 24 vs Wolves
Ruben Dias
Injury: Thigh
Guardiola suggested Dias could be back soon for City before the United game but it is still unlikely to be until next month when we see the centre-back in the team again.

Josko Gvardiol
Injury: Leg
The Croatian international is on the mend having undergone surgery for a broken shinbone picked up vs Chelsea. He is a long term absentee for the Blues.
Potential return date: April/May 2026
Savinho
Injury: Knee
City's winger damaged his quadricep in the draw at Sunderland on New Year's Day and remains out for some time with that injury. Like Dias, there is a hope he could be back next month.

Oscar Bobb
Injury: Hamstring
Bobb will have been particularly gutted to miss out on a clash in his home country. But since feeling his hamstring in the victory over Brentford in the Carabao Cup, the forward has been unavailable.

John Stones
Injury: Thigh
Sadly for Stones, this thigh injury which City hoped he would bounce back from quickly has persisted. Guardiola has remained hopeful he will be back soon though.

Mateo Kovacic
Injury: Ankle
Kovacic has been out the longest with an ankle injury. Guardiola has not provided a recent update on the midfielder's fitness but next month could be a realistic timeframe for his return.

Matheus Nunes
Injury: Illness
City said on Saturday that Nunes was out with the flu and he has not been listed in the travelling squad. However, there's hope he will be in the team at the weekend to take on his old club.
