Former Tottenham player unleashes on Lewis family with ‘enough is enough’ rant

One former Tottenham defender insists that what we have seen in the January window should be the last straw for the club’s current owners.

Conor Gallagher and Souza were the only two first-team players Spurs managed to land during the January transfer window.

Many Tottenham fans are in disbelief that the club failed to strengthen their attack, given the team’s struggles in creating chances and scoring goals this season, and the club’s current injury crisis.

In fact, Spurs captain Cristian Romero even called the lack of player options ‘disgraceful’, with the Lilywhites only having 11 fit senior players against Man City.

Ramon Vega calls for the Lewis family to sell Tottenham

The relationship between the Tottenham fans and the club’s hierarchy has hit rock bottom, and Ramon Vega believes that the January window should be the last straw for the club’s owners.

He suggested that the club’s top brass have failed to address the team’s predicament this season and believes that it is now time for the Lewis family to look for potential buyers.

Vega wrote on X: “I am more convinced than ever. The owners (the Lewis family) need to sell now, or at least start looking for a new owner. Enough is enough. You have had enough time to address the situation at the club from a footballing perspective. Fans and even current players have had enough of the football not being addressed properly, in line with a club like Spurs. Just say bye-bye and thank you.”

Thomas Frank could be part of the reason behind Tottenham’s January inaction

Interestingly, it has been suggested that the Tottenham head coach could have been part of the reason why the club failed to strengthen their attack in January.

This is according to The Daily Mail, who revealed that Frank was adamant he did not want any short-term fixes in January, with the Dane only wanting players who would improve the team over the long term.

That may have put the Tottenham hierarchy in a tough position, as they may not have wanted to commit to big-money signings for a manager whose long-term future at the club is in doubt.
