Manchester City have been busy in the summer transfer window

Callum Doyle

Manchester City have once again reaped the rewards of their academy talent in the £7.5million sale of Callum Doyle to Championship big-spenders Wrexham.

The Blues have allowed the 21-year-old to depart the Etihad on a permanent basis and raked in a hefty fee for a player who did not make a senior appearance for City. But he has played nearly 200 times in the Football League during successful loan spells at Sunderland, Coventry and Norwich City.

And City have included a buy-back clause and a sell-on fee in the deal that has taken him to Wrexham, something they have done to great effect on countless occasions. City often make a second fee from a player moving on while this summer they activated a buy-back clause to re-sign James Trafford.

Doyle's departure is the latest in a busy summer at the Etihad with prospects Claudio Echeverri and Sverre Nypan departing on season-long loans this week. Echeverri will play Champions League football at Bayer Leverkusen while Nypan has joined Championship club Middlesbrough.

Manchester City have sanctioned a loan departure for exciting prospect Sverre Nypan with the teenager prospect joining Middlesbrough for the rest of the season.

City are keen to trim down their squad and while those two are young prospects, there are expected to be more senior departures. Here's a look at the deals the club have done so far:
