Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma appeared to bid farewell to the club's supporters as reports over a move to Manchester United and Manchester City intensify. Both clubs have faced speculation over their goalkeeping department with differing issues.
Andre Onana and his deputy Altay Bayindir have made high profile mistakes throughout their careers at Old Trafford. Meanwhile City have been linked with the Champions League-winning shot-stopper despite landing former academy prospect James Trafford.
Despite his heroics for the French giants, Luis Enrique has taken drastic action regarding the goalkeeper which has led to speculation surrounding his future with PSG. Footage emerged on Friday night after their 1-0 win over Angers which showed Donnarumma receiving a heroes send off.
The Italian appeared to fightback tears as he was serenaded and mobbed by supporters.
He has been linked with a move to the Premier League with Chelsea also mooted, following goalkeeper issues of their own.
Ederson has been linked with an exit that would bring an end to his trophy-laden chapter at the Etihad Stadium.
Turkish giants Galatasaray are keen, while City sources have no denied a possible move for Donnarumma.
James Trafford made his debut in the 4-0 win over Wolves on the opening day of the season. Speaking ahead of Saturday's visit from Tottenham Hotspur, Pep Guardiola said: "We'll decide tonight after dinner.
"The new players always bring energy and ideas.
"James brings his youth and desire to play in the club where he grew up in and we're happy with the performance [against Spurs] but it's just the first game. Just to be consistent in the first game and do better against Spurs."
At Old Trafford, talk of a new goalkeeper was initially initiated in January and for Onana, he missed the majority of pre-season with a hamstring injury but Ruben Amorim could be forced to bring him back into the fold following Bayindir's costly mistake last Sunday.
Reports this week surfaced surrounding a possible move for highly-rated Belgian goalkeeper Senne Lammens. It was suggested that he was close to agreeing personal terms over a move to United.
