Arsenal were held to a 2-2 draw with Sunderland with Gabriel Magalhaes and Declan Rice sending messages to supporters

Gabriel Magalhaes and Declan Rice have echoed similar messages to supporters after Arsenal's draw with Sunderland.

The Gunners were held to a 2-2 stalemate with the Black Cats on Saturday evening, with Bukayo Saka and Leandro Trossard on the score sheet for Mikel Arteta's side.

The draw meant that Arsenal went into the international break with a six-point lead at the top of the Premier League table, although that gap could be reduced depending on what happens in the Super Sunday clash between Manchester City and Liverpool.

City are seven points behind Arsenal with a game in hand, while Liverpool are eight points adrift and wins for either club would see them climb up to second place in the standings and narrow the gap between themselves and the Gunners.

Arsenal now have to wait two weeks before returning to top-flight duties, where they will host Tottenham Hotspur in the North London Derby on November 23.

Gabriel and Rice are two players who will both be on international duty with their respective national teams during the two-week hiatus, with the duo sending messages to Arsenal fans after the draw at the Stadium of Light.

On his Instagram story to his 2.1 million followers, Gabriel wrote: "See you soon Gunners. We'll be back stronger. Thanks for the support."

Gabriel will link up with the Brazil squad for their friendly match against Senegal next week, which will take place at the Emirates Stadium.

Rice has also issued a message to Arsenal fans before the midfielder joins up with Thomas Tuchel's England squad ahead of the Three Lions' World Cup qualifiers against Serbia and Albania.

"Perspective. An unbelievable month," wrote Rice on his Instagram story on Sunday to his 5.2 million followers.

"Unlucky not to win yesterday but that's football sometimes. More than ready to go after the break."

Arteta will be hoping that both Gabriel and Rice, along with the other members of the Arsenal squad, return to London Colney with no injury or fitness concerns after representing their national teams over the next two weeks.
