Alexander Isak scored his third goal for Liverpool on Saturday, but the striker appeared to pick up a knee injury while striking the ball, thanks to Micky van de Ven's challenge

Gary Neville described Alexander Isak's injury as a "sad sight" after Liverpool's record signing limped out of Saturday's game.
Liverpool defeated Tottenham 2-1 in London to move up to fifth in the Premier League table, just eight points behind Manchester City in first. The Reds were boosted during the first half when Xavi Simons was sent off for a shocking tackle on Virgil van Dijk.
Isak made Tottenham pay in the 56th minute when he slotted the ball into the back of the net for his third Liverpool goal since arriving from Newcastle in September. The Swede cost the Reds £125 million ($166.2 million), a British record transfer fee.

As the striker struck the ball, Van de Ven tried to block the shot by sliding in.
The defender ended up clattering into Isak, causing the latter to suffer an apparent knee injury. Liverpool fans are now concerned Isak has suffered an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tear, an injury which would end his debut season at Anfield.
Neville was on commentary for Sky Sports for Saturday's game and sympathized with Isak. "That is a sad sight for Isak," said the former Manchester United captain. "The could have been his lift-off moment. But he has picked up an injury."

Former Tottenham midfielder Andy Reid was covering the game for BBC Radio 5 Live. He said on commentary: "I've just seen the replay, and it looks like Alexander Isak's ankle. Cristian Romero or Micky van de Ven slides in; it looks awkward."
Florian Wirtz, another one of Liverpool's summer signings, set up Isak's goal. Neville added: "Wirtz slides through the perfect pass. And that is Isak in a nutshell. The little run and a brilliant finish."
Reid added: "A really good goal from a Liverpool perspective, Hugo Ekitike whips to Florian Wirtz, and Alexander Isak finishes it. So disappointing for Tottenham."
Despite Isak's injury, Liverpool still won in London. Hugo Ekitike scored an excellent header moments after his fellow striker limped out of the game to make it 2-0.
"I love that goal," said Neville on Ekitike's finish. "It is brilliant. It is not a foul. He has just got up early. It is a great header."
Reid said shortly after Ekitike's goal: "Pretty comfortable for Liverpool now, they look most dangerous with balls in the box.
"They scored that Hugo Ekitike goal from a cross in a wide area, which Tottenham have struggled to deal with."
Richarlison pulled a goal back for Tottenham, but it wasn't enough. Spurs now find themselves 13th in the Premier League table.
