football.london understands that Chelsea are not interested in signing Gianluigi Donnarumma and there have been no talks with Paris Saint-Germain. The 26-year-old goalkeeper faces an uncertain future in the French capital, with his contract set to expire next summer.
From January, clubs outside of France will be eligible to open talks with Donnarumma about a free transfer in the summer of 2026. With PSG unable to tie the Italy international down to a new deal, they've been forced to make a difficult decision.
The Parisians must consider whether they'd rather risk losing Donnarumma for free or cut their losses and cash in before it's too late. With time running out, the former AC Milan shot-stopper been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League.
Fabrizio Romano reported overnight that Donnarumma is '100 per cent' leaving PSG having been disappointed by the club's decision not to include him in the team for the UEFA Super Cup clash against Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday night. It is also reported Donnarumma is set to 'clarify his position'.
While Stamford Bridge has been mooted as a potential destination by some, it's understood that Chelsea are happy with their current goalkeeping options. This season, Enzo Maresca will have Robert Sanchez and Filip Jorgensen to choose from between the sticks.
Sanchez briefly lost his place in the starting lineup at the start of the year following a couple of high-profile mistakes. Speaking to reporters in January, the Chelsea boss was asked if the Spaniard could benefit from a spell on the sidelines.

"Sometimes it can happen," said Maresca. "Not only in Robert’s case. It happened already this season, the other day I was reading about Donnarumma, this season he was playing always for PSG then for some games Luis Enrique left him out. Now he’s playing every game and doing well."
The Italian tactician added: "For sure, the number one is Robert but we have two good keepers and we can make some different decisions, for sure it can happen. It doesn’t mean Robert can make a mistake every game and he’s always going to play. No. But the number one choice was Robert.
"We will see on Monday. Not (decided) yet, the decision we have two, three days. The good thing is that any decision I take I feel good, because every time Filip has played since we started, he has done well. So Filip or Robert, we will see but any decision will be OK."
Jorgensen, who the Blues signed from Villarreal last summer, was given a run, but Sanchez eventually reclaimed his place in the the starting lineup. Speaking to reporters ahead a clash against the Gunners, Maresca said: "It will be Robert playing against Arsenal.
"Since we start, the idea was not to change goalkeeper - but sometimes you have to modify, you have to be flexible in your idea. We do this with the game plan, we do this with the way we want to attack, the way we want to defend, but also we need to be flexible with players.

"I think Robert needed some days off or at least to rest his head mentally. And now he is back we are hopefully not going to change until the end [of the season], also because I said many times we are quite happy with both goalkeepers."
Sanchez went on to enjoy a stellar end to the season as Chelsea finished fourth and qualified for the Champions League. The 27-year-old goalkeeper also helped the Blues' win the Club World Cup, winning the Golden Glove award for his tremendous efforts in the United States.
He carried his excellent vein of form into pre-season, showcasing his range of passing and shot-stopping ability. In the meantime, Donnarumma has reportedly been left out of the Parisians' matchday squad for their clash against Tottenham Hotspur in the UEFA Super Cup.
Luis Enrique's side will lock horns with the Lilywhites at the Bluenergy Stadium in Udine, Italy, on Wednesday night. PSG appear to have already replaced the Italian, having signed Lucas Chevalier from Lille earlier this month.
