Harry Redknapp makes Premier League title prediction as Liverpool tries to retain crown

Harry Redknapp sees Liverpool as the favorites to win the Premier League once again this season, while even picking them to win the Champions League.

The beloved ex-Premier League manager sees the Reds be pushed all the way by three others teams in the league, but is of the mind that the Reds' additions, and those that still yet may come in, will see them over the line in winning the title.

When asked on his prediction for the Premier League this year, Redknapp told BetVictor Casino : "I'd have to fancy Liverpool again. They're looking strong, have made some good signings and are still obviously trying to get Alexander Isak in.

"If they get him, that would be icing on the cake probably for them. I've just got a feeling they could go on a run for a couple of years like we had with Manchester City dominating."

He added that he believes Arsenal and Manchester City will once again be their main title rivals, with the opinion that Chelsea are not yet ready to challenge.

Redknapp insinuated the addition of Isak could push Liverpool over the edge as the dominant force in the league

"Arsenal and Man City, they're the two big dangers," Redknapp said. "I think everyone's expecting Chelsea. They're going to do it, they'll be close. But I think Arsenal and Man City, I see them as bigger dangers than Chelsea to Liverpool.

“I think that will be the top four basically in whatever route, I think Liverpool top. After that, it will be second and third for either Arsenal or Man City. And I think Chelsea will probably finish fourth again.”

And in another take that Reds fans will love, Redknapp explained he believes Arne Slot's team could win the Champions League.

He said: "PSG will be strong again and Real Madrid have made some big signings, I think that Liverpool could be the team this year. Arsenal will be interesting again. They had a great run last year at it.

“It's going to be a great competition. When that music plays, it makes the hair stand up on the back of your neck. What atmosphere it creates. The Champions League, it's fantastic."

Liverpool begins it's Premier League season on Friday when they open up the campaign with a home game against Bournemouth - who could be missing five players for the match.

Liverpool.com says: Liverpool's loss to Crystal Palace in the Community Shield has seen some down on the Reds' hopes this year, with some even brandishing it as a transition season - with so many new signings.

However, the core of Liverpool's team remains while making some incredible additions - with potentially a few more still to come. It may take a few months for the Reds to be at their best, but they'll be favorites to win almost every game they play this upcoming season, and rightly so.
