Harry Redknapp predicts Tottenham vs Burnley score for Premier League opener

Harry Redknapp has shared his Premier League score prediction for Tottenham Hotspur’s opening match of the 2025/26 season against Burnley.

The 2025/26 season is set to kick off for Tottenham Hotspur on this afternoon with a clash against newly promoted Burnley at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

It is for sure a less demanding task compared to Spurs’ last two clashes, where they faced Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain, matches they both lost.

Regardless, Burnley, only just promoted from the Championship after reaching 100 points and conceding just 16 goals, would be looking to cause an upset against a Tottenham side seeking redemption after an abysmal 24/25 campaign where they finished 17th.

Harry Redknapp is backing Spurs to beat Burnley

Speaking ahead of the clash against the Lancashire side, Harry Redknapp has now offered his score prediction.

In an interview with BetVictor, Redknapp reflected on Tottenham’s recent performance and spoke positively about some of their summer additions, before predicting a Spurs win on the opening day of the new season.

He said: “Oh, I was gutted for Spurs the other night; they were so close to such a great win. Nonetheless Thomas Frank has to take so many positives from the game. Palhinha looks a great signing in midfield, and I thought Kudus was very bright.

“This could be a long season for Burnley and Scott Parker. They did so well to get back up, but they have not really spent a lot in the summer, and I just think the gap between the divisions is so big nowadays.

“An easy home win. Spurs 3-0 Burnley.”

Redknapp also highlighted one player he feels could be key for Spurs this season. He said: “No Maddison for most of the season is a huge blow for the team and for the lad himself, I was gutted for him. Kudus has come in though and I think he could be a very, very good addition.”

Tottenham injury news ahead of Burnley clash

Thomas Frank has since provided a somewhat positive injury update ahead of the clash against Burnley, as Tottenham do not have any fresh injury concerns.

Every player is available for selection, except for Destiny Udogie, who is still working his way back to full fitness.

Attacking midfielders James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski remain sidelined, while Dominic Solanke is fit to feature. Yves Bissouma, who was left out of the UEFA Super Cup squad, has now returned to the fold and should be in contention on Saturday.
