Tottenham Hotspur’s attention swiftly turns to matters on the pitch this weekend when they take on Andoni Iraola’s Bournemouth at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Thomas Frank will be hoping to maintain his perfect start to life as Tottenham boss with another Premier League victory against the Cherries.
If everything goes to plan for the Dane, Tottenham could very much go into the September international break top of the table, particularly as Arsenal and Liverpool lock horns later in the weekend.
Harry Redknapp makes Spurs prediction for Bournemouth clash
Harry Redknapp has given his verdict on Tottenham’s clash with Bournemouth and it is a prediction that will go down well with the Spurs faithful.
Speaking to Bet Victor, the former Tottenham manager praised the start Thomas Frank has made in north London and also highlighted one defender as his player to watch, before predicting a victory for Tottenham when they take on Bournemouth this weekend.
Redknapp said: “It could not have gone much better for Thomas Frank at Spurs. I thought Spurs were absolutely fantastic last week, a tactical masterclass from them. If they can keep this form up they could be in for a very good season.
“I think Bournemouth will be fine this season, but it might take a bit of time to adjust to all the ins and outs this summer. I trust the gaffer to have this side comfortably away from the bottom third of the table.
“I think Bournemouth can cause problems with the likes of Semenyo on the break, but I am going for Spurs.
“One to watch – I cannot believe I am picking a centre-half here, but what a top player Micky van de Ven is. Keeping fit is the priority for this team, you saw the impact of that last season.”
Redknapp’s score prediction: Tottenham 2-1 Bournemouth.
Tottenham has home advantage against Bournemouth
