Harry Wilson came back to haunt Liverpool as he opened the scoring for Fulham in the two sides' latest meeting - although the Reds should have known all about the danger their former teammate possesses.
Wilson gave Fulham the lead after a delayed start at Craven Cottage, with the Wales international managing to beat the offside trap set by Liverpool.
Although his goal was initially ruled out, a VAR intervention saw him being rewarded after replays showed he had managed to stay behind Virgil van Dijk, before racing through on goal and sliding the ball neatly past Alisson Becker in goal.

Since the start of November, he has recorded nine goal involvements (five goals and four assists), with only Manchester City’s Erling Haaland (11) having secured more than him in that time.
That might not come as a surprise to many at Liverpool, where Wilson began his career after coming through the ranks at Anfield.
Although his opportunities with the Reds were limited - he made just two appearances for Liverpool’s senior team - his talent became apparent from his various loan spells, with Wilson eventually making the permanent move to Fulham in 2022.

Former Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp though was only too aware of the quality that he possesses, having insisted back in 2019 that Wilson could earn a place in his first-team.
"Of course, he can succeed here. We loaned him so he can make the steps,” Klopp told The Guardian.
"His shooting is world-class. Find me five players who shoot better than him, that is obvious, but the game is about more and that is what he has to improve and that is clear."
Wilson would go on to play just one more game for Liverpool after Klopp’s comments, although the Reds might have regretted letting him go when he put Fulham ahead against Arne Slot’s side.

Despite struggling to create chances during the first half, Liverpool took the game to Fulham after the break and found an equalizer through Florian Wirtz. Wilson almost restored Fulham's lead in the 77th minute, but his effort hit the crossbar.
Cogy Gakpo scored in added time to give Liverpool the lead, but a last-minute wonderstrike from Harrison Reed snatched a point for Fulham.
Could Harry Wilson return to Liverpool?
A surprise return to Anfield has been touted recently, with former Fulham star Tomasz Radzinski suggesting Wilson could make the move back to Merseyside last month.
"Harry Wilson to Liverpool, why not?" asked Radzinski, speaking to ComeOn. "If he can perform this well for Fulham.
"Before Mohamed Salah became one of the greatest players in the Premier League, he had to move to a few other clubs as well. At Chelsea, he was not really rated, and he had to go to Italy only to come back to the Premier League to be exceptionally fantastic.
"Anything can happen. The sky is the limit."
