Tottenham have reached a full agreement to sell one of their strikers, but the player will only make the move in the summer.
While there were relatively few comings and goings in the Tottenham first-team in January, there was a lot of activity as far as young players are concerned, with many of the Spurs academy starlets completing loan moves.
However, Spurs failed to move on one youngster despite agreeing on a fee for him. According to reports, Tottenham had accepted an £8.7m bid for Alejo Veliz from Brazilian side Bahia, but a complication stopped the transfer.
It was explained that Spurs did not have the option of recalling Veliz from his loan spell at Rosario Central, unless the Lilywhites paid compensation to the Argentine club or if the striker decides he wants to cut short his spell.

Tottenham forward Alejo Veliz will join Bahia in the summer
It was reported in the final days of the transfer window that the Spurs youngster had decided to remain at Rosario until the summer.
However, it is now being reported by a Brazilian journalist, Yuri Santana, that Bahia have finalised a full agreement with Tottenham for the signing of Veliz.
The striker has agreed to join the club when his loan spell in Argentina concludes, with Veliz agreeing a five-year contract with the Brazilian club.

This information has also been confirmed by Fabrizio Romano, who has revealed that Bahia will pay €9m (£7.8m) plus add-ons for Veliz, who will have his medical at the club in June.

The Veliz saga serves as a caution for Spurs fans regarding Souza
Veliz was widely seen as the best young number nine in Argentine football before he made the move to Tottenham, but he never really managed to settle in Europe.
It is further proof that top young players from South America are far from guaranteed to succeed in a top-five European league.
That is why Spurs fans should not get too excited about Souza just let, with the latest Tottenham addition having a long way to go before he is ready for the Premier League.
