Tottenham Hotspur will have to make do with another one of their key men for their upcoming Premier League fixtures after Micky van de Ven was sent off against Crystal Palace.

Spurs struck the first blow against Palace, as Archie Gray showcased exquisite footwork to tee up Dominic Solanke for the game’s opener on 34 minutes.

However, disaster struck for the home side just four minutes later as Ismaila Sarr got in-behind the Tottenham defence and was tugged back by Micky van de Ven, who received his marching orders from referee Andrew Madley.

That proved to be the turning point in the game as the Eagles struck three times at the end of the first period to put the game beyond the Lilywhites.
