Wrexham will host Chelsea at the Racecourse Ground in the FA Cup fifth round after beating Ipswich Town, with Hollywood owner Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman filmed watching the draw live
Wrexham owner and Hollywood A-lister Ryan Reynolds was almost speechless after his club were paired with Chelsea in the FA Cup fifth round draw. The Welsh outfit will welcome the Blues to their ground next month in pursuit of a quarter-final berth in football's oldest knockout tournament.
Reynolds was captured viewing the draw alongside Hugh Jackman and displayed a remarkable response as the realisation dawned. "Ohhh, Chelsea," announced Jackman whilst Reynolds gazed at his tablet with mouth agape.
"Wait, wait, wait, we're home to Chelsea," was the Deadpool actor's initial reaction. "That's what you wanted," remarked Jackman, prompting Reynolds to applaud before expressing himself more bluntly, reports the Mirror.
"Yes. What the ****?" he declared. Sharing the footage on X, Reynolds wrote: "Chelsea at the Racecourse! Holy crap."

Josh Windass struck the decisive goal as the Red Dragons edged past Ipswich Town 1-0 to advance at the Racecourse Ground on Friday night. Chelsea, by contrast, swept aside Hull City 4-0.
Phil Parkinson's men have already overcome Premier League opponents after defeating Nottingham Forest on penalties in the preceding round. Chelsea are expected to present a more formidable challenge.
However, Parkinson has already tasted some success against the Blues in this tournament. In 2014, he masterminded a comeback from two goals down to lead Bradford to a 4-2 victory over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
Wrexham last faced Chelsea in a competitive match in 1982 in Division 2, after three encounters in the FA Cup that same year. Home and away draws eventually led to the London side triumphing 2-1 in a third tie.
More recently, following Wrexham's takeover, the clubs met in a friendly match in the United States. They squared off in front of 50,596 fans at Kenan Stadium, North Carolina, in 2023 and then at Levi's Stadium, California in 2024.
After defeating Ipswich, a delighted Parkinson took a moment to relish the achievement. He stated: "We spoke before the game about our chance to create a bit of history.
"We've done it and I'm so pleased because it was always going to be a tough game against a very good side. Every season in football is special, you've got to savour it and the FA Cup is part of that.
"It was crucial that we followed up the Nottingham Forest win with another victory. This season, with the challenge of being in the Championship and now an FA Cup run, we want to enjoy it and we certainly did tonight."
