Early team news

Arsenal remains without Martin Odegaard, Noni Madueke, Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus, while Arteta also has a few doubts to contend with after Sunday’s win over Crystal Palace.

William Saliba came off at half-time in that game after picking up a knock, while Declan Rice and Riccardo Calafiori followed later on in the second half. Gabriel Martinelli, meanwhile, has been carrying a muscle issue and may be another doubt.

As for the visitors, Brighton will be without Adam Webster, Solly March and Jack Hinshelwood. Meanwhile, there are doubts over Joel Veltman, Karou Mitoma and Brajan Gruda, with the latter of those having an outside chance of featuring today.
