Arsenal vs Leeds team news

Arsenal may be without a few players when they take on their newly-promoted opponents Leeds. Gabriel Jesus suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury during the Gunners' defeat to Manchester United in the FA Cup third round at the start of the year.

In March, the 28-year-old striker announced that he had successfully completed the first seven weeks of his rehabilitation programme. Unfortunately for Arteta, Jesus remains out of action - and he's expected to return sometime in the Autumn.

Kai Havertz could miss the game with a knee injury. The 26-year-old forward, who missed most of the second half of last season, after tearing his hamstring during a warm weather training camp in Dubai, picked up a knock at Old Trafford in the curtain raiser last weekend.

Ben White is a doubt after he was forced off in the the 71st minute against United. The 27-year-old defender was helped off the pitch by club physio Simon Murphy, but he seemed fine.

Arsenal could welcome back Christian Norgaard. The 31-year-old midfielder, who joined the north Londoners from Brentford in July for £15m, missed the United last weekend.

Leeds will be without their captain, but they could welcome two new faces into the line-up. Ethan Ampadu went off with a medial collateral ligament injury in their season opener against Everton - while Dominic Calvert-Lewin is said to be in 'good shape' and Noah Okafor 'could feature' for the west Yorkshire side.
