Early team news

As discussed, Newcastle will be without Isak, who hasn't travelled with the team to Asia.

The official reason for his absence has been attributed to a thigh injury, although Eddie Howe admitted in his pre-match press conference that the striker's future remains uncertain.

Joelinton missed last week's pre-season defeat to Celtic with a knock but should be fine to take on Arsenal, while Lewis Hall remains ruled out due to a long-term issue.

As for Mikel Arteta's side, they're not expected to call upon the services of new signings Mosquera and Gyokeres. Noni Madueke, Gabriel Jesus and Jurrien Timber are expected to miss out.

Summer arrivals Christian Norgaard, Martin Zubimendi and Kepa Arrizabalaga have already featured this summer and should play against Newcastle.
