Early team news
Jadon Sancho is ineligible to face his parent club today, while Liverpool loanee Harvey Elliott still finds himself out in the cold and looks unlikely to earn a recall to the Villa squad.
Elsewhere, Pau Torres, Tyrone Mings and Ross Barkley are all out injured for the hosts, while goalkeeper Emi Martinez is a slight doubt with a back problem.
As for the visitors, United will be without the suspended Casemiro, while Amad Diallo, Bryan Mbeumo and Noussair Mazraoui are all away on Africa Cup of Nations duty.
