Chelsea kick off their Champions League campaign away to Bayern Munich on Wednesday, and something has got to give. Enzo Maresca has seen his team go unbeaten through the first four weeks of the Premier League season, while Bayern aren't just unbeaten in the Bundesliga but have won three out of three.
The Blues are back at European football's top table for the first time since the 2022/23 season, when they fell to Real Madrid in the quarter-finals. However, they come into the competition as the holders of the Conference League and Club World Cup, having beaten European champions Paris Saint-Germain in the final of the latter.
Chelsea could welcome Cole Palmer back into the starting line-up in Bavaria after the England international made a scoring return from the bench against Brentford on Saturday. And, as fans get ready to watch the Blues in a different European competition this season, here's how to take in the action.
What time is kick-off?
Bayern Munich vs Chelsea kicks off at 8pm UK time on Wednesday, September 16. It is one of four matches kicking off at that time, alongside Ajax vs Inter Milan, Liverpool vs Atletico Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain vs Atalanta.
