Chelsea are gearing up to face Lincoln City in the Carabao Cup, as they set their sights on more silverware. Under the leadership of Enzo Maresca, the Blues have already clinched the Europa Conference League and won the Club World Cup, and are now looking to add another trophy to their cabinet.

Despite being two goals down, Chelsea were given a ray of hope when Casemiro was sent off for United right before half-time. Trevoh Chalobah managed to score for the Blues with just 10 minutes left on the clock, but the visitors couldn't find an equaliser before the final whistle.
Maresca will be hoping that the Carabao Cup can help his team return to their winning form, after a draw against Brentford and a loss to Bayern Munich before their match with United. The Blues are set to travel to Lincoln, who are currently third in League One.

The match between Lincoln and Chelsea will take place at Sincil Bank on Tuesday, September 23. The kick-off is scheduled for 7.45pm.
Under the rules of the Carabao Cup, if the match is level after 90 minutes, it will be decided by a penalty shootout. There is no extra time in the early stages of the competition, and there are no replays for Carabao Cup matches.

Chelsea will be without goalkeeper Sanchez for their Carabao Cup clash against Lincoln. The Spain international's red card has resulted in a one-match suspension, which he will serve on Tuesday.
The Blues have a new injury worry with Palmer, who was taken off early in the defeat to United. Maresca has explained his decision to substitute Palmer after being reduced to 10 men, despite the midfielder being passed fit before the match.
"Yeah, Cole probably is the only one that we need to assess a little bit," Maresca said in his pre-match press conference. "The rest, they are okay. We are just recovering from last week when we played three games in a row."
The Chelsea boss continued: "Cole is one, and then we have some players who have had problems for a long time like Moises Caicedo and Joao Pedro. They are trying to manage it a little bit themselves, but then the rest are okay."
The Blues will also be without Benoit Badiashile and Romeo Lavia, as both continue to make their way back to fitness. Maresca has hinted that some of the club's academy players may be included in Chelsea's matchday squad.
In other news, Lincoln were missing winger Reeco Hackett for their 3-1 victory over Luton Town on Saturday due to illness. Manager Michael Skubala is confident his team will step up against Chelsea.
"Before this game there was no mention of Chelsea, but now we've got the three points we have to recover quickly and get ready for an exciting game on Tuesday," Skubala said following Lincoln's triumph over Luton. "Of course it'll be hard and we know their quality, but we'll put a team on the pitch that we think can win the game. We truly believe at home we can cause damage and hurt anyone."
