Mohamed Salah begins his quest for Africa Cup of Nations glory today as Egypt takes on Zimbabwe in its opening game of the tournament.
The Liverpool winger will be aiming to put his recent fallout back at Anfield firmly behind himself as he goes in search of a trophy that has eluded him throughout his career so far.
Egypt is the most successful side in the history of AFCON, having won it seven times, although it has gone without the trophy since 2010, and Salah will be eager to put that right. His side will be heavy favorite against Zimbabwe, which makes just its sixth ever appearance in the competition.

Early team news
Despite being left out of a warm-up game against Nigeria last week, Salah is expected to start and captain Egypt today. If he does, it will be the first time he's started a game for club or country since Liverpool's 4-1 defeat to PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League in November.
Manchester City's Omar Marmoush is likely to join him in attack, with the pair looking to fire their country to glory. Mohamed El-Shenawy and Ahmed El-Shenawy are battling it out to start in goal, with the former looking likely to get the honor.
Zimbabwe will be relying on midfielder Knowledge Musona to try and fire it to what would be a major upset, while former Everton defender Brendan Galloway and ex-Aston Villa star Marvelous Nakamba are among the familiar names in the squad.
