England are once again in Euro 2025 semi-final action on Tuesday night - as they attempt to take another step forward in defending their European crown.

The Lionesses take on Italy after overcoming Sweden in dramatic fashion in their quarter-final match just a few days ago. England found themselves 2-0 down after just 20 minutes - owing to goals from Kosovare Asllani and Stina Blackstenius.

However, with just over 10 minutes of normal time left to play, two goals in two minute from Lucy Bronze and Michelle Agyemang drew Sarina Wiegman's side level and took the game to extra-time.

The extra 30 minutes came and went without anymore goals being scored, meaning that a penalty shoot-out was used to decide the outcome. The Lionesses eventually came out as 3-2 winners, despite missing four of their seven spot kicks.

Bronze - who started that comeback - scored what turned out to be the winning penalty that booked her side's place in the last-four.

England will now attempt to get past Italy and book their place back in Sunday's final. The other semi-final sees Germany take on Spain on Wednesday night (8pm kick-off).
