Liverpool will be hoping to follow up its recent FA Cup victory over Everton when the two teams reignite rivalries in the latest installment of the Merseyside Derby on Saturday

Liverpool travels to face local rivals Everton in the latest installment of the Merseyside Derby in the Women's Super League on Saturday, hoping to record a fourth win in six games in all competitions.

The Reds have seen an upturn in form of late, winning three of their last five to move five points clear of the foot of the table and reach the quarter-finals of the Women's FA Cup.

Ironically, Liverpool achieved the latter by defeating Everton 2-1 at St Helens Stadium just over a month ago, and will be aiming to retain their bragging rights over the Toffees when the two sides meet again this weekend.

As for Liverpool, head coach Gareth Taylor should also be able to call upon his own Asian Cup duo in the form of defender Risa Shimizu and midfielder Fuka Nagano, who helped Japan win the tournament for the third time.

However, the Reds are expected to be without Lucy Parry for a second successive game through injury, while Sofie Lundgaard, Marie Hobinger, Sophie Roman Haug, Sam Kerr, and Zara Shaw remain out.
