The Reds head to Craven Cottage for its first away match of 2026 and face an in-form Fulham side that has not lost in its last four Premier League encounters
Liverpool faces a trip to Fulham in its first away game of 2026, as the Reds look to extend their eight-match unbeaten run.
However, the New Year’s Day stalemate against Leeds United wasn’t the start to the new year that fans envisaged. Liverpool was flat, uninspired and lacked incision against one of the Premier League’s relegation-threatened side.
Fulham should offer a stiffer test. Marco Silva’s team has taken 10 points from its last 12, and last season’s visit to Craven Cottage provided Arne Slot’s first away defeat in the Premier League. The Dutchman, who came under fire again after the Leeds draw, will hope for a better outcome this time.

Slot confirmed ahead of the game that Joe Gomez was set to return to training on Friday, and he could therefore be part of the group that travels to West London.
Wataru Endo remains absent, however, while Mohamed Salah is still with the Egypt squad at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). Alexander Isak and Giovanni Leoni are long-term injury issues.
As for Fulham, Silva confirmed ahead of the game that right-back Kenny Tete will be unavailable after suffering a fresh problem in the midweek draw against Crystal Palace.
Josh King is also set to miss out through a knee problem, joining Rodrigo Muniz and Ryan Sessegnon on the Cottagers’ expanding injury list.
Calvin Bassey, Alex Iwobi, and Samuel Chukwueze are currently participating at AFCON with their respective national teams.
