Liverpool returns to Premier League action today hoping that its midweek form can carry into domestic matters after Qarabag was swept aside in the Champions League.
So far this season, Arne Slot's men have been considerably better in Europe than domestically. They are yet to win a Premier League game since the turn of the year but face Newcastle United at Anfield later.
Given how congested things are in the race for the Champions League spots — Newcastle kicks off knowing a win at Anfield would draw it level on points with Liverpool — the Reds could really do with putting in a strong performance.

In the UK, the game will be live on TNT Sports and Discovery+, and available to stream via its services. In the US, it will be shown on NBC Sports and available to stream via Peacock.
Liverpool will be without five players. Jeremie Frimpong and Conor Bradley, both right-back options, are out injured and therefore Dominik Szoboszlai could be asked to fill in there.
Alexander Isak and Giovanni Leoni are long-term absentees. Joe Gomez remains out following the knock he sustained at Bournemouth, but Ibrahima Konate is available again following the passing of his father.

Eddie Howe says Newcastle is sweating on the fitness of Bruno Guimaraes, who was left on the bench in the Champions League on Wednesday, when the Magpies drew 1-1 with PSG.
Tino Livramento (thigh), Fabian Schar (ankle), Joelinton (hip) and Emil Krafth (knee) are expected to miss out, with both teams potentially without five of their players.
"For us it's about making sure we perform in every game, regardless of where we play," Howe said in his pre-match press conference. "It's a great fixture. Historically, it's been a great fixture. We want to try and do that justice by being the best we can."
"Before I came to this country, I was already aware that games between these clubs had a reputation for being highly competitive and exciting, and they have certainly lived up to that kind of status," Arne Slot writes in the official matchday program.

"It will not be only Liverpool, of course, but the expectation when we play tonight's opponents is that it will be a really tough contest, just like the one we had at St. James' Park earlier this season.
"On that occasion, we came out on the right side of a five-goal thriller — but only just. Just like last season's fixture at the same venue, it must have been incredibly exciting for neutral fans to watch and we showed a lot of character to find a way to win even though we left it very, very late.
"We know what tonight is about and we know what to expect from Newcastle. This time around, we face a team that also played in midweek so we will both be facing the challenge of recovering as best we can in order to be as prepared as we possibly can be for this game."
