How to watch Liverpool vs Yokohama Marinos for FREE as Hugo Ekitike could make first appearance

2 weeks ago 67

Liverpool fans could get their first glimpse of Hugo Ekitike today as the Reds take on Yokohama Marinos in Japan. Arne Slot's side will return to the UK after facing the 18th-placed J-League outfit.

Joe Gomez is already at home having exited the camp because of a minor injury, while Luis Diaz has flown to Germany ahead of joining Bayern Munich. Alisson Becker won't be involved either as he has departed for personal reasons; the Brazilian is expected to rejoin the rest of the group when they return to Merseyside.

After beating Preston North End and Stoke City, Liverpool lost 4-2 against AC Milan last time out. While the result doesn't matter, the Reds should stand a good chance of winning here though fitness is the main thing.

Fans hoping to tune into the game will be able to do so via Liverpool's official channels. Supporters will need the All Red Video package to be able to stream it.

Via Liverpool's official website, fans are able to sign up for the All Red Video package. And members who are new to the service can get a month free, with the option to cancel at any time.

In addition to getting access to the pre-season games, the All Red Video package also includes LFC documentaries, full match replays once the season starts, a live stream of LFCTV, highlights of the men's and women's teams, and audio commentary of every game.

"I feel very proud," Ekitike said when he was unveiled as a Liverpool player. "Obviously it’s a big, big club. I’m just excited, I’m a bit like a kid.

"I’ve been dreaming to come and play in the Premier League. And to play for Liverpool is a big, big good feeling for me. I just can’t wait to start to play games and to win trophies.

"I think that was the right moment. I came to the Bundesliga hungry, I wanted to show that I’m a good player and I can make the difference on the pitch.

"I think I did well last season. Now, I feel ready to make a bigger step and to play on the highest level, to improve myself, to see what I can do. That’s why I think it’s the right timing for me and the perfect moment to come here."

When asked about how he plays, Ekitike offered an exciting insight into his style. After scoring 22 goals last season, there is plenty of impact in the final third too.

"I guess from the street!" Ekitike said. "I always have been playing outside with my friends at school and I have been watching a lot.

"My favorite player is a player who likes to have the ball at their feet and does some skills, show on the pitch, and I think that’s why I always like to play with the ball and do some skills when I face other players. It’s just my way to play."
