Manchester United can give itself a 10-point cushion in the Champions League qualification spots with victory over Leeds at Old Trafford today.
The Red Devils have picked up more points than any other side in the Premier League since Michael Carrick arrived as the interim replacement for Ruben Amorim in January — winning seven, drawing two and losing just one of their 10 games under the former midfielder. Leeds, meanwhile, is still battling to avoid relegation to the Championship, having been pulled back into the mire in recent weeks due to the improved form of Nottingham Forest and West Ham.

What the managers have said
Michael Carrick on whether not qualifying for the Champions League from this position would constitute failure: “I mean, we take where we are.
"Listen, as a club, we want to be challenging right at the top, there's no getting away from that. But I think there's steps and being realistic as well and talking about where we came in and where we are now and just keep building on that.
"I think the boys are in a good place, squad’s in a good place, we keep pushing forward. The club seems to be in a really good place in terms of the supporters, really positive and enjoying it, which is important, and we're just trying to keep pushing and keep progressing as we go.”
Leeds manager Daniel Farke on Michael Carrick's impact at United: "Too early to judge but Michael has played top level with world class players, able to win trophies.
"Always liked his work, we crossed paths with Middlesbrough. The team plays with lots of confidence and freedom, making it difficult to control offensive processes.
"I like his style a lot and it suits a team with many top players. No coincidence he’s had so many good results."
