Early team news

Liverpool will be without Mohamed Salah, with the winger having made his way to Morocco this week ahead of the start of AFCON. That will leave a question over who will start on the right for Liverpool, especially with a slight doubt over Dominik Szoboszlai.

The midfielder was forced off against Brighton last weekend, although he has been in training this week and looks as though he will be included in today's squad, along with the returning Jeremie Frimpong.

Conor Bradley is back from suspension, but Cody Gakpo, Joe Gomez and Giovanni Leoni all miss out through injury.

As for Tottenham, the hosts could be without as many as eight senior players. James Maddison, Destiny Udogie, Dominic Solanke and Dejan Kulusevski are all long-term absentees for Spurs, while Kota Takai and Radu Dragusin are not expected to be ready despite returning to training.

Yves Bissouma and Pape Matar Sarr are both unavailable after being selected by Mali and Senegal respectively for AFCON - the former may not have been available in any case, having been suspended by the club.
