Hugo Ekitike endeared himself even further to Liverpool's fans with his reaction to being substituted during Saturday's 4-1 win over Newcastle at Anfield.
Ekitike was withdrawn with the Reds leading 3-1, and exited the field close to the away section of Anfield, which was packed with Newcastle fans giving him abuse.
Ekitike responded by holding three fingers up on one hand and one finger up on the other hand, to signify the scoreline at the time, before sticking his tongue out at the traveling Geordies.
The France international also pointed in the direction of the Liverpool supporters as though he was telling Newcastle's fans: "I chose to play for them instead of you."

Ahead of Liverpool's game against Newcastle, Ekitike was asked about coming face to face with the club he nearly joined and responded: "You want trouble! Yeah, obviously, we were close [to joining Newcastle].
"I don't care. I play for Liverpool, I don't care about this, I just want to play and help the team. It is simple.
"Obviously, we were close [to signing for Newcastle], but I made my choice. I knew where I wanted to come, so that's all I can give to you.
"Liverpool fans' support means a lot. I play for the fans; they give me so much energy."
Ekitike scored twice in the 4-1 win over Newcastle as Liverpool came from behind to record an emphatic victory.
Newcastle forward Anthony Gordon opened the scoring in front of the Kop in the first half, but Ekitike's quickfire brace ensured Liverpool went in with a 2-1 lead at half-time.
Further goals from Florian Wirtz and Ibrahima Konate in the second half wrapped up the three points to send the Reds up to fifth in the Premier League standings.
