Liverpool forward Cody Gakpo has signed a new long-term contract with the Reds.

The 26-year-old's contract was due to expire in the summer of 2028, with the length of his new deal not revealed.

The Netherlands international has made 131 appearances for Liverpool since his arrival from PSV Eindhoven in January 2023, scoring 42 times and providing 19 assists.

"It feels amazing to extend the contract here at this beautiful club," Gakpo told the club's website.

"I'm very grateful and hopefully I can give back many more beautiful moments.

"I feel at home, my family feels at home and that's also a big decision always. I'm very grateful that I can extend."
