Liverpool will need to replace Mohamed Salah when he leaves at the end of this season, with William Gallas pointing to one big European name as the ideal successor

Liverpool has known for some time that Mohamed Salah's exit was coming. And that is part of the reason why it spent so much on signing Florian Wirtz, Alexander Isak and Hugo Ekitike last summer.
When the next window arrives, though, more attacking depth will be required. Signing at least one fast winger would appear to be a wise move, with Liverpool's current roster lacking some pace.
Whoever it is that Liverpool targets, you can expect plenty of links with wide forwards as Salah plays out his final months in a Reds jersey. And Michael Olise is one much-tipped name.

Yes. Everybody likes him," former France international William Gallas told Boyle Sports this week.
"Everybody wants him, but he won’t go anywhere. Not for next season, I don’t think. I think Olise will stay one more year and maybe he looks like he's happy to stay there longer.
"But don’t forget he is also from the UK too so maybe in the future he will try to come back to the Premier League. He will stay at Bayern Munich at least one more year."

Olise has scored 16 goals and assisted another 27 in Germany this season, forming an elite attack alongside Luis Diaz and Harry Kane.
And recently, Bayern Munich chief Max Eberl insisted that the French forward would be going nowhere.
"It doesn't matter which club is interested in him: anyone who plays for FC Bayern knows what they have here," he said. "Michael has a contract with us until 2029, with no release clause; we're calm."
Liverpool's hand in the transfer market will be strengthened by finishing inside the Champions League places, but that status hangs in the balance as things stand, with some tough games to come.

"Will uncertainty over Arne Slot put players off going to Liverpool? Nowadays, yes the players always care about this because everyone has got the news on their phones and everything," Gallas added.
"They know what’s going on. We don’t know if he’s going to stay as manager at Liverpool because he has had a difficult season.
"No one knows what’s going to happen to him and the question is who is going to be the manager next season for Liverpool."
Liverpool.com says: Olise is an excellent player but signing him from Bayern Munich is of course going to be very tough. The German side desperately wants to keep him and he has been playing so well there, he should be in no rush to move on.
