Tottenham Hotspur drawing 1-1 with Liverpool at Anfield saw Igor Tudor receive some credit for using Dominic Solanke and Richarlison to give Spurs an outlet up front

Roy Keane praised Igor Tudor for playing Dominic Solanke and Richarlison up front together for Tottenham Hotspur during their 1-1 draw with Liverpool.

Both forwards formed a partnership at Anfield, with the Brazilian scoring their 90th-minute equaliser. Second-half substitute Randal Kolo Muani assisted the goal, but Solanke proved problematic for Joe Gomez and Virgil van Dijk.

Spurs trailed for well over an hour of the match, but earned their first Premier League point since February. 1 Doing so ended a run of six straight defeats across all competitions, the last five of which were since the interim appointment of Tudor.

Keane gave the coach credit for playing two forwards. He said on Sky Sports: "[Spurs' strikers] gave them an outlet and Liverpool struggled to deal with it.

"You always think there is a softness to Spurs, but the physicality of the two players up front was a huge bonus. They were knocking people over.

"Between now and the end of the season, they'll have battles every week. Forest are their next game - huge."

Keane also said: "Spurs dug deep. People have been poking fun at Spurs the last few months, but today they showed that fighting spirit.

"It was ugly sometimes. They went direct; the goal came from direct play. It was unlike Tottenham.

"They showed spirit, fight and quality at the right time. To go a goal down, I thought we'd find out about these lads today. You have to give them credit; they deserved it. Towards the end, Liverpool had one or two chances, but Tottenham could have gone on to win it.

Jamie Redknapp singled out Richarlison for particular praise. He said: "All game, [Richarlison] was a thorn in their side, Gomez and Van Dijk. He had a bit of physicality.

"Spurs might have fallen on a system here, with two strikers: Richarlison and Solanke. They're a handful; they were powerful.

"It wasn't pretty, but they had opportunities. It just became uncomfortable for Liverpool. The longer it went on, you thought [Spurs] would get something."
