Arsenal are still facing a nervous wait to discover if Declan Rice will be available to face Aston Villa in the Premier League this weekend.

Rice appeared to suffer an injury during the Gunners' 2-0 win over Brentford in the Premier League on Wednesday night.

Since, there has been speculation about whether, or not, the England international will be available for the trip to Villa Park on Saturday lunchtime as Arsenal look to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table.

Mikel Arteta is already dealing with several other injury concerns within the Arsenal squad going into the game.

Gabriel Magalhaes and Kai Havertz are both ruled out, due to injury, while there are also question marks over the fitness of William Saliba, Leandro Trossard and Cristhian Mosquera.

Arteta was asked about Rice's fitness ahead of Arsenal's clash against Villa this weekend.

The Gunners boss did not give anything away when asked if Rice could be available to face Villa.

"Well, let's see," Arteta said. "I think with all the questions I'm going to get the answer, unfortunately, is going to be the same. We have another training session in the afternoon.

"Every hour is going to be very important to see the availability of the players. After that, we'll decide which hours."

Will Declan Rice be fit to face Aston Villa in Game Week 15?

There is still no final word on whether or not Rice will definitely be available to face Villa this weekend.

The FPL website lists Rice as having a 75 per cent chance of being able to feature for the Premier League leaders on Saturday afternoon. This indicates that there's still a good chance that the England international will be able to play some part in the fixture at Villa Park.

Elsewhere, Mosquera has been handed a 50 per cent chance of being able to play for Arsenal against Villa, while Saliba and Trossard have both got a 75 per cent likelihood of being able to feature.

When is the FPL deadline for Game Week 15?

The FPL deadline is typically speaking 90 minutes before kick-off of the first fixture of any game week.

That match happens to be Arsenal's clash with Villa on Saturday lunchtime, meaning the deadline will be at 11am on Saturday morning.
