Jurrien Timber picked up a knock against Aston Villa last weekend and missed the midweek Champions League tie. It remains to be seen whether he will be fit to face Wolves on Saturday

Jurrien Timber could be involved in Saturday's Premier League clash against Wolves, with Mikel Arteta admitting his inclusion will depend on how the defender feels. The 24‑year‑old picked up a knock in the defeat to Aston Villa and missed Wednesday's Champions League win over Club Brugge.

"They (Calafiori and Timber) both had issues at the weekend, two really bad kicks and for Jurrien, it was too early," said Arteta at the time. Timber was the latest defender to be hit by injury following the setbacks to Cristhian Mosquera, Gabriel and William Saliba.

As a result, Arteta was forced to deploy midfielder Christian Norgaard at centre‑back against Brugge.

Speaking in Friday's press conference, the Spanish boss suggested Timber remains a doubt for the trip to Molineux.

With that said, football.london takes a look at the chances of Timber being able to play for Arsenal this weekend.

What has been said about Jurrien Timber injury?

Asked to provide an update on the Timber, Arteta said on Friday: "Depends how he feels today.

"It was a knock that he picked [up] and he wasn't feeling comfortable.

"So yeah, I think it's something, a matter of days. But whether it's tomorrow or not, we'll see."

Will Jurrien Timber be fit to face Wolves in Game Week 16?

There is still no final word on whether Timber will be available to face Wolves this weekend.

The FPL website lists Timber with a 75% chance of involvement, suggesting he is likely to play some part in the game.

When is the FPL deadline for Game Week 16?

The deadline to make changes for Gameweek 16 is 90 minutes before kick-off of the first game of the weekend. This week, that comes on Saturday at 1.30pm, as the first kick-offs are at 3pm.

After that, your team will be locked and no further adjustments can be made.

Arsenal are two points clear of Manchester City at the top of the Premier League, with Villa third and three points behind.

Securing a win in the West Midlands would be crucial to maintaining their lead over rivals heading into a busy Christmas period.
