Manchester City will welcome Liverpool in a huge Premier League clash at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday afternoon

Manchester City are gearing up to host rivals Liverpool in a crucial top-of-the-table clash on Sunday afternoon.
The current Premier League champions are keen to keep their momentum going following a brief dip in domestic form in the past few weeks. Arne Slot's team bounced back to winning ways with victories over Aston Villa and Real Madrid, and will be aiming for another three points on their travels this Sunday, just as they did at the Etihad in February with a 2-0 win.
On the other hand, Pep Guardiola's City thrashed Borussia Dortmund 4-1 in the Champions League midweek match and aim to maintain this dominance when the Reds visit. Although it's still early days to be scrutinising the Premier League table too closely, neither side can afford to lose more points in the developing title race with leaders Arsenal.
Bonfire night may have passed, but there's likely to be more fireworks this afternoon. Here, the Manchester Evening News provides all the details on how you can tune in and who might make the starting XI for each team.

What's the team news for Man City vs Liverpool?
City have several players ready for the Liverpool match after being rested for the Champions League victory over Dortmund. Ruben Dias, Rayan Cherki and Bernardo Silva all made appearances off the bench on Wednesday night and could be in the starting line-up for Guardiola.
Rodri's participation remains uncertain after he missed last week's matches due to a minor setback in his injury. Speaking to TNT Sports before the European tie, Guardiola said: "He does not feel perfect so that is why he do not take the risk.
"He will comeback, this is a little setback. He needs a bit more time to feel good and play football. It does not matter if he plays good or bad knowing that he is fine and will not be out for a while."
Slot could also welcome star signing Alexander Isak back into the squad after he missed the last four matches for the Reds due to a groin problem. The Swedish striker's inclusion in the latest national team squad is a positive sign for Liverpool fans who have been eagerly awaiting his return.
Jeremie Frimpong, Alisson Becker and Giovanni Leoni are all confirmed absentees for the Reds, but Ryan Gravenberch and Curtis Jones have returned from spells on the sidelines.
