Manchester City are set to take on French outfit Monaco in the Champions League on Wednesday. Pep Guardiola's squad appears to be regaining their form after a shaky start to the season.

City, who clinched their first European Cup in 2023, kicked off their Champions League journey with a 2-0 victory over Napoli, marking Kevin De Bruyne's return to the Etihad Stadium. Goals from Erling Haaland and Jeremy Doku ensured the defeat of the Italian champions.

Following losses to Tottenham Hotspur and Brighton, City have rebounded with a win against Manchester United, a sturdy 1-1 draw at Arsenal, and a 5-1 drubbing of Burnley last weekend. They now prepare to face a Monaco team boasting former Premier League stars Paul Pogba and Eric Dier.

Despite Adi Hutter's side suffering a 4-1 thrashing by Club Brugge in their initial Champions League match, City are up against the team that bested them in this tournament in 2017 during the last-16. City were unable to capitalise on their 5-3 first leg victory as they succumbed to a 3-1 defeat at the Stade Louis II eight years prior.
