Teddy Sheringham urges Tottenham to act swiftly amid growing concerns over club direction and managerial decisions.
One would expect it to be panic stations in North London at Tottenham Hotspur, given how quickly the club is plummeting towards the relegation zone.
Thomas Frank had a decent first few months in the Spurs dugout, but his tenure quickly came crumbling down, with results and performances on the pitch leaving much to be desired.
Questions have already been raised about how long Tottenham waited before opting to sack the Dane following a series of poor results, after having left them dangerously close to the bottom three.

Teddy Sheringham criticises Tottenham’s decision makers over Igor Tudor’s situation
Igor Tudor has since replaced Frank, but he himself is struggling to turn the fortunes of the Lilywhites around, having managed zero wins in his five league games.
His latest defeat against Nottingham Forest has further eroded any optimism among the fanbase about him being able to turn things around in North London.
With seven games remaining and the March international break providing Spurs with three weeks of no action, it is a perfect time for a new appointment.
Yet Tottenham are once more dragging their feet, prompting club legend Teddy Sheringham to call out the decision makers.
Speaking on the situation, Sheringham highlighted his concern over the lack of clarity at Spurs and the risk of a foreign managerial appointment, telling the fans via wearepeek on TikTok:
“Right, I am concerned, yeah – not about the golf, not about my paddle. Nice new haircut, you like that? Sharp, I like it, thank you. Uh, now, I am concerned about Tottenham Hotspur, just been playing golf with the… with the boys. You have seen that Simon Davis, he is a Tottenham fan… Ging, Ging did not care, he is a West Ham boy. He wants us to… he wants them to go down rather than West Ham, did not he, so he does not care.
“But we are concerned, you know. Why has it all gone quiet at Tottenham Hotspur… it is the England international break. Obviously, the world is still playing as well, but it is the international break and it all seems to have gone quiet at Tottenham. Say what needs to be done – if this fella is getting the sack, which he should be, let us… let us look at the results on the football pitch and let us have a look at what has been going on. I think he has got one point in six games, is it? Might be five games, I am not sure, but one point in that time and the team looking in disarray still.
“So, let us assess that – he needs to go now. I am hearing that they are having talks with another foreign guy that used to manage Monaco, he is from Austria, I think, that used to manage Monaco. What does this guy know about the Premier League? What does this guy know about the Premier League players? About the stadiums, about the pitches, about the players that he has at his disposal – what the hell is going on at Tottenham Hotspur? Why are they looking down a foreign route that knows nothing about the football club or the league that he is going to be playing in… please do not make this mistake again.
“I do not know who is making these decisions to go and speak to these people, but it is wrong. Have a look at what is going on, what is needed… all it needs is a bit of love towards the players, a little bit of a confidence boost, because we have got very, very good players at the football club. Put them in their rightful positions – a manager that knows what their rightful positions are and who gels with each other. Work it out.
“He needs to go in now. I know everybody is away on international duty, but he needs to go in now to understand the football club, get around the football club. Talk to people in the football club, find out what is… what is the missing link, find out what the problem is. He needs to go in now, not at the end of the international break. So, two days before, and he goes in and then he has got two days to work it.
“There are people there that he can start influencing… getting his point across, getting a wave of… of what he wants to be happening when all the international players come back and they are ready to play. It needs to be done now… why are you dithering? It needs to be done, otherwise you are getting relegated.”
Sheringham is doing what all of the other supposed legends of the club should be doing and using his voice. Would be good if the others followed suit and called the club out for the shambles it is #thfc pic.twitter.com/2FDY0Fb8JW
