The Gallaghers teased Arsenal fans twice as Oasis played their first gig to a London crowd in 16 years.

The band made a storming return to the capital last night (July 25), performing their first of seven Wembley dates in the Oasis Live '25 tour.

Both Liam and Noel were eager to let the crowd know which football team had been dominant in the years since they last played in London, following a glittering period for their beloved Manchester City.

In recent years, much of City's success has come at the expense of Arsenal, with the Blues pipping the Gunners to the title two years running, in 2022-23 and 2023-24.

And while the Premier League season didn't go to plan for Pep Guardiola's side in 2024-25, Mikel Arteta's team still couldn't take advantage, as Liverpool were crowned champions instead - leaving Arsenal in second place three years in a row.

It's a situation that Liam was quick to mock early in Oasis' set last night.

Ahead of Cigarettes and Alcohol, Liam led the crowd in the Poznan jump, which City fans have celebrated with over the last 15 years.

Teasing those who didn't like it, Liam said: "Don’t be booing Arsenal Fans.

"Just because you’re not top of the league. It isn’t our f****** problem."

That wasn't the only taunt Gooners had to put up with either, as Noel took a more thinly-veiled swipe towards the end of the night - with a buoyant message for fellow City supporters.

Returning to the stage to kick off an epic four song encore, Noel announced: "This next song is for all the Manchester City supporters in the house. It’s called The Masterplan."

Oasis will perform to more than 630,000 people at Wembley Stadium over the course of seven shows during the Oasis Live ‘25 tour.
