'It's not our problem' - Noel and Liam Gallagher taunt Arsenal supporters at Oasis gig

9 hours ago 49

The Gallagher brothers couldn't resist a bit of banter with Arsenal supporters as Oasis returned to the London stage for the first time in 16 years.

The iconic band made a triumphant return to the capital on July 25, kicking off their seven-date Wembley stint as part of the Oasis Live '25 tour.

Both Liam and Noel were keen to remind the audience of the footballing dominance of their beloved Manchester City during their hiatus from the London music scene, a period that saw City outshine Arsenal.

City's recent victories have often come at Arsenal's expense, with the Blues edging out the Gunners to clinch the title in consecutive seasons, 2022-23 and 2023-24.

Despite a less than stellar 2024-25 Premier League season for Pep Guardiola's side, Mikel Arteta's team failed to capitalise, with Liverpool taking the championship, leaving Arsenal runners-up for the third year running.

Liam didn't miss the opportunity to rib Arsenal fans during Oasis' performance. Before launching into Cigarettes and Alcohol, Liam led the crowd in the Poznan jump, a celebration synonymous with City fans over the past 15 years.

In response to any boos from Arsenal fans, Liam quipped: "Don't be booing Arsenal fans. Just because you're not top of the league. It isn't our f****** problem."

But the teasing didn't stop there, as Noel also took a subtle dig at the Gunners later in the evening, delivering an uplifting message for fellow City fans.

Noel Gallagher made a triumphant return to the stage for an electrifying four-song encore, dedicating the next tune to his fellow City fans with the words: "This next song is for all the Manchester City supporters in the house.

"It's called The Masterplan."

Oasis are set to entertain over 630,000 fans at Wembley Stadium across seven spectacular shows as part of their Oasis Live '25 tour.

The band is gearing up for another night at Wembley this evening (Saturday), with additional performances lined up for July 30, August 2, August 3, September 27 and September 28.
