The former Liverpool center-back was delighted that Arne Slot's side came away from the Emirates with a point and clean sheet, but felt Arsenal should be disappointed after failing to score in both meetings this season

Jamie Carragher has offered his verdict on Liverpool’s 0-0 draw at Arsenal and claimed the Reds should be pleased with a hard-earned point considering their lack of attacking resources.
Liverpool took points off the Premier League leaders on Thursday and prevented the Gunners from scoring for a second time this season. Despite Liverpool not managing a shot on target throughout the night at the Emirates, it looked more likely to score in the second half than Arsenal.
The hosts managed an expected goals of 0.0 between the start of the second half and the beginning of injury-time, while Dominik Szoboszlai alone had five shots in the second period.

Few sides have managed to blunt the Gunners’ offensive threat as Liverpool did - let’s not forget the previous game at the Emirates saw title-chasing Aston Villa beaten 4-1.
The result also extends Liverpool’s unbeaten run to double digits and Carragher was certainly pleased with the commitment and discipline shown by his former club.

“A good result & a very good performance from Liverpool tonight, missing three top attackers that may have made it an excellent result. [Ten] unbeaten is not to be sniffed at after losing 9/12 previously,” he wrote on X.
Carragher also took aim at Arsenal, and replying to a post from Gunners reporter Tim Stillman, wrote: “Arsenal have not taken any risk in 180mins v Liverpool this season!!!”
The 47-year-old had the night off Sky Sports duty, but his fellow pundits were on hand to offer their perspectives on Liverpool’s performance.
“I think Arne Slot will be absolutely delighted with the performance of the players. Got to give him credit for his game plan,” said fellow ex-Red Daniel Sturridge.
“They weathered the storm in the first 20 minutes. After that, their work rate, how tenacious they were, was a very experienced performance, and they showed why they are champions.
“They lacked the cutting edge up front, but had very positive moments. Frimpong was a threat all night. Wirtz was very good, picked up a load of pockets, and was very clean tonight. The list goes on.
“The defence was magnificent,” he added. “They stopped attacks all night, and I think the manager and players should be very proud of themselves. They performed exceptionally tonight.”
