Jamie Carragher says he would love to bring Tottenham duo to Liverpool

Jamie Carragher has admitted that Tottenham are much stronger in one area of the pitch than Liverpool are at the moment.

Both Spurs and the Reds have had campaigns to forget so far, with both managers now under immense pressure.

Thomas Frank is arguably more under the pump in light of his poor start to life in North London, with reports indicating that Tottenham are already lining up replacements for the former Brentford boss.

However, Frank has been told that he has better options at his disposal in one position than Arne Slot does.

Jamie Carrahger would love to have Tottenham duo at Liverpool

While previewing Saturday’s clash on the Echo Of Glory Podcast, Carragher admitted that he prefers the Tottenham centre-back pairing to Liverpool’s.

When the pundit made the suggestion, the host asked the former Liverpool defender: “Could I interest you in Radu Dragusin?”

Carragher responded with: “I’d have your two, I’d have your two [Van de Ven and Cristian Romero].”

However, despite boasting two of the best central defenders in the Premier League, Spurs have conceded 21 goals so far this term.

Thomas Frank faces big decision on tactical set-up for the Liverpool game

We have seen Frank adopt an ultra-conservative approach for big games this season, and that has backfired on him badly, with his side struggling to create chances in those games.

However, the Dane would also be painfully aware that his side is susceptible at the back as Forest demonstrated last Sunday.

He may thus be hesitant to take the handbrakes off as he did against Brentford, as he may fear that the Reds’ star-studded attack may rip Tottenham to shreds.
