Jamie Carragher is set to appear at a charity boxing evening featuring former soccer players, although the Liverpool legend won't be donning the gloves himself.

The event - dubbed "A Night to Remember II" - is being organized by "Pro Project Promotions," led by former Arsenal goalkeeper Graham Stack. The inaugural event in October 2025, which saw the likes of David Bentley, Jody Morris, and Leroy Lita step into the boxing ring, raised an impressive £127,500 ($173,000) for various British charities.

Stack has now announced plans for the second instalment, scheduled for April 17 this year at the Titanic Hotel in Liverpool.

In addition to raising crucial funds for charities across the country, these events aim to shed light on the challenges faced by retired soccer players, from maintaining physical fitness to safeguarding mental health.

Providing these retired sportsmen with an opportunity to give back, Stack stressed: "The drive to make a difference doesn't end when the game does."

The 10 ex-professional footballers stepping into the ring will be under the watchful eyes of Tony Bellew and Natasha Jonas.

The event will be graced by Merseyside legends, including Carragher, who has previously trained in boxing gyms.

He'll serve as an ambassador and participate in a football Q&A alongside Everton favorite Francis Jeffers.

Two-weight world champion Jonas will be on hand to train the former footballers, alongside the renowned Smith Brothers, as they prepare for three rounds of battle in the boxing ring.

The scheduled bouts include ex-Stoke and Wolves forward Chris Iwelumo squaring off against Swansea favorite Lee Trundle.

Carl Ikeme, a former colleague of the Scottish striker at Wolves, is set to face Bristol City legend and Liverpool-born Bradley Orr.

Championship legend Ross McCormack is also trading his football boots for boxing gloves as he takes on former Leeds and Sheffield United defender Matthew Kilgallon - a self-proclaimed boxing enthusiast.

Other participants include the likes of ex-Stoke player Carl Dickinson and former Wigan and Wolves winger Adam Hammill.

The April event aims to raise funds for two Merseyside-based charities: Children's Charity Merseyside and Autism Merseyside, with the goal of surpassing £120,000 ($163,000) on the night.
