It looks set to be another busy season on the loan front for Tottenham Hotspur following a number of departures across the summer. Due to the amount of players available to new head coach Thomas Frank, some of the club's talented youngsters have departed on loan for the 2025/26 campaign to help aid their first-team development in their quest to become Spurs regulars in the not too distant future.
Last week was extremely busy for players exiting on loan as Tyrese Hall, Will Lankshear, Jamie Donley, George Abbott, Yang Min-hyeok and Alfie Devine headed to various locations across the country to link up with EFL clubs. A couple more Tottenham players could soon be added to the list as Luka Vuskovic and Dane Scarlett are available for loan but both remain Spurs players for the time being.
So how exactly did Tottenham's loan army fare for their respective clubs last weekend? football.london takes a look below.
Alejo Veliz (Rosario Central)
The starts Alejo Veliz has been desperate for over the past two years continue to come his way after returning to former club Rosario Central on loan. The frontman has now started the past four games for Central, with the side playing out a 0-0 draw against Club Atletico Tucuman last weekend.
Veliz played 88 minutes of the contest and was booked in the draw away from home. Central host Deportivo Riestra on Saturday.
Mikey Moore (Rangers)
Mikey Moore celebrated his 18th birthday on Monday by penning a new long-term contract at Tottenham. The winger is currently on loan at Rangers and is yet to make his first appearance for Russell Martin's team as he has been waiting for international clearance.
Rangers take on Viktoria Plzen in the second leg of their Champions League third round qualifying tie on Tuesday evening but Moore will not be involved in the game in the Czech Republic as he wasn't added to their squad in time for the first leg. The hope will be that the teenager can makes his Gers debut on Saturday when they host Alloa Athletic in the second round of the Scottish League Cup.
Alfie Dorrington (Aberdeen)
Staying in Scotland, fellow Tottenham youngster Alfie Dorrington played the full 90 minutes as Aberdeen lost 2-0 at home to Celtic on Sunday afternoon. The centre-back was in the matchday squad on the opening weekend of the season against Hearts but he remained an unused substitute for the 2-0 defeat at Tynecastle.
Aberdeen travel to Greenock Morton on Saturday in the second round of the Scottish League Cup.
Will Lankshear (Oxford United)
Lankshear was drafted straight into the Oxford United XI on the opening weekend of the Championship season days after completing a season-long loan move from Tottenham. Unfortunately it wasn't a debut to remember for the striker as they lost 1-0 at home to Portsmouth.
Lankshear received a score of 6.5 out of ten in Oxford Mail's player ratings. They wrote: "Some promising hold-up play and one clever pass got Brannagan a run on goal down the left side."
Lankshear will have the chance to add to his minutes on Tuesday evening when Oxford host Colchester United in the first round of the Carabao Cup. They then travel to Hull City on Sunday afternoon for their second game of the Championship season.
Yang Min-hyeok (Portsmouth)
There was a Tottenham reunion at the Kassam Stadium last weekend as Yang came up against Lankshear after joining Portsmouth the previous day. Yang started the game on the bench but was introduced in the 67th minute of the contest as he replaced Florian Bianchini.
"A few flashes of skill and quick feet, yet physically couldn't quite make an impact," was the verdict in The News as the South Korean was given a score of five for his 23-minute cameo. A first start could possibly come his way on Tuesday evening as Portsmouth are in Carabao Cup first round action at home to Reading, with Norwich City to follow at Fratton Park on Saturday lunchtime.
Alfie Devine (Preston North End)
Devine was another player to depart Tottenham on Friday as he sealed a season-long loan move to Preston North End. The Lancashire club confirmed on their official website that they do have the option to sign the attacking midfielder permanently as part of their agreement with Spurs.
Devine started Saturday's 1-1 draw at QPR on the bench but got 15 minutes in the tank as he replaced Thierry Small in the closing stages of the game in west London. He was given a score of six out of ten in the Lancashire Post's player ratings along with the verdict: "Introduced with 20 minutes or so to play. Had a couple of probing runs."
Devine's minutes should increase this week with an away trip to League Two side Barrow in the Carabao Cup on the agenda on Tuesday before they host Leicester City at Deepdale on Saturday.

Ashley Phillips & Jamie Donley (Stoke City)
Donley made it a debut to remember for Stoke City on Saturday as he helped inspire a 3-1 win over Derby County. Initially trailing until Lewis Baker restored parity in the 70th minute of the contest, Donley came on six minutes later and registered an assist as Sorba Thomas netted Stoke's third in the ninth minute of stoppage time.
It was extremely smart play from Donley as well as he squared the ball across the area for his teammate to put the result beyond any doubt.
"Class. He's class. Really class," Stoke City boss Mark Robins said after the game, as reported by StokeonTrentLive. "Stoke fans will be thinking back to players that they might be able to relate him to. I know I do - he looks a lot like Charlie Adam in some of the things that he does and, if he can live up to that, then fantastic. He's his own man - he's Jamie Donley.
"Some of the things he's done in his career already have been phenomenal. The goal he scored against Man City last season - and I say his goal, it should be his goal because it was absolutely brilliant. He's bright and he's great to have. I'm delighted we've got him and he'll be a big player for us. He'll get better and better over time."
Donley may have been introduced in the closing stages of the match but he still scored well in StokeonTrentLive's player ratings as he was given a mark of seven. They wrote: "First look at the latest summer recruit, who only arrived this week. Was involved in bits and pieces before his assist at the death. Ought to come on for this experience in front of a healthy Potteries crowd."
Ashley Phillips was also a substitute to begin with in the win over Derby but he was introduced at the same time as his Tottenham teammate. The centre-back was awarded a mark of six out of ten for his performance and it was noted that he "won one very important header" following his introduction.
The pair should get plenty of minutes under their belt this week with Walsall coming up in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night and then a trip to Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday afternoon.
George Abbott (Wycombe Wanderers)
Abbott made his Wycombe Wanderers debut on Saturday as he started in their 2-1 home defeat against Stockport County. The youngster played 68 minutes of the contest as he got the nod in the middle of the park after excelling there for Notts County last term.
Wycombe visit Leyton Orient in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night before then travelling to Doncaster Rovers on Saturday.
Damola Ajayi (Doncaster Rovers)
Damola Ajayi will be reunited with Abbott on Saturday after making the loan move to Doncaster Rovers for the season. The attacker made a big impression in pre-season but he has so far had to contend with minutes off the bench for Grant McCann's side in their opening two league games.
Ajayi came on for the final 28 minutes of Doncaster's 2-1 win at Mansfield as a late Owen Bailey double saw the visitors take the points back to the South Yorkshire. Before hosting Wycombe on Saturday, Ajayi and Doncaster face Championship opposition in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night as they travel to Middlesbrough.
Tyrese Hall (Notts County)
Hall made his debut for Notts County on Saturday as he came off the bench for the final six minutes of their 2-1 defeat against Salford City. The midfielder will be hoping he gets the nod from the off on Tuesday night as the Magpies visit Wigan Athletic in the first round of the Carabao Cup.
Notts County are then on the road on Saturday as they make the trip to Barrow.
