Jamie O’Hara believes that there is one player Tottenham need to sign more than any other during the upcoming transfer window.

Spurs made further modifications to their leadership structure this week, with Tottenham announcing that Fabio Paratici and Johan Lange will both work as sporting directors.

According to reports, their responsibilities will be split, with Paratici set to focus on transfer windows and player recruitment.

The Italian will certainly have some resources to play with during the upcoming transfer window after ENIC injected equity of £100m into Tottenham last week.

Jamie O’Hara tells Tottenham to sign Antoine Semenyo

Over the past few weeks, the speculation linking Antoine Semenyo with a move to Tottenham has gone into hyperdrive.

Some sources have said that Bournemouth may demand upwards of £80m for Semenyo, but O’Hara thinks the Lilywhites should not hesitate to break the bank for the winger.

When asked who Spurs should sign in January, the pundit told Sky Sports: “Semenyo, go and buy Semenyo. That’s it. He is for me, that’s it, Semenyo is the player, he’s the player that we should go and buy for me, he’s fantastic.

“Xavi Simons is having to play on the left. We want Xavi Simons playing in the middle. If you go and sign us a Semenyo, I think then Tottenham are not far off being a really, really good side. If I look at one place and I go, that is a player that we need. That is a player I want at Spurs. Semenyo is top class.”

Journalist says Spurs have already settled on January priorities

O’Hara may not like what a BBC journalist has reported about Tottenham’s priorities during the January window.

Sam Mokbel has said that Thomas Frank wants to add a centre-back to rotate with Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven in January.

He also predicted that Spurs might be in the market for a new number nine and could proactively look to tie up a permanent deal for Joao Palhinha.
