Joao Pedro and Andrey Santos have shown their support to 18-year-old Chelsea starlet Estevao after the Brazilian was called up to the senior national team.

Joao Pedro and Andrey Santos have shown support for Chelsea teenager Estevao after the Brazilian shared an emotional message on social media.

The 18-year-old joined Chelsea in August for an initial fee of £29m. His signing reflected the club's ongoing strategy of recruiting young talents and developing them at Stamford Bridge.

Although Estevao enjoyed two successful seasons with Palmeiras, his debut Premier League campaign has allowed the youngster to break onto the European stage - and he looks to have done so in style.

The forward has scored four goals for Chelsea and provided one assist in his 16 appearances to date. His consistent performances have earned him a consistent place in the Brazilian national side, while the 18-year-old has shown his gratitude.

He shared a picture on Instagram of himself training with the Brazil squad ahead of their friendly against Senegal at the Emirates Stadium. He captioned the post: "Thank you God for all the opportunities. Always an honor."

Estevao's efforts haven’t gone unnoticed by his Chelsea teammates. Pedro and Santos, who are also in their first seasons at the club, showed their support for their compatriot.

Santos commented 'craque' - which in Portuguese means 'star player' - while Pedro left a blue heart emoji, and a fingers-crossed emoji, symbolising the Chelsea connection.

From a young age, Estevao appeared destined for stardom. At just 10-years-old, he signed a contract with Nike - becoming the youngest Brazilian to do so since Real Madrid superstar Rodrygo.

Like Estevao, Pedro joined Chelsea over the summer. The 24-year-old quickly made an impression on Blues fans, scoring in the Club World Cup final victory over PSG in July.

Pedro's Premier League campaign has been mixed. The striker went five matches without even a shot on target - but, despite that, he has scored four league goals this season.

Santos' path has been slightly different. The Rio de Janeiro-born midfielder joined Chelsea in 2023 but spent three consecutive seasons out on loan with Vasco da Gama, Nottingham Forest and Strasbourg.

The 21-year-old attracted plenty of interest during the summer transfer window, with his Chelsea future uncertain. However, after a strong start to the new campaign, Santos now looks set to stay.

All three Brazilians have made a positive impact at Stamford Bridge. And with Pedro nearing his mid-20s, the trio perfectly represent Chelsea’s model of identifying and developing the world's best young talent.

With Enzo Maresca's side six points off league leaders Arsenal, all three will be hoping to maintain their form and help Chelsea chase their first title since 2017.
